basemap

TUUNE! I need a basemap for my ms1. afm delete, t25, 460cc, 93 b6

buffon01 04-16-2010 05:03 PM

Hmm there isnt such thing...

Rule #1 DO NOT use someone's map thinking that similar mods will yield similar results. Your shit will most likely blow up.

With that said, go to DIYautotune, download the base map w/o MAF for the 1.6. Then tune it accordingly to your set up. Spoon-feed ends here. Have a good one.

Or you can just divide the old injector size by the new size.....just sayin

Just because I was a MS noob not too long ago....https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...&highlight=map

like the others have said, take info on here with a grain of salt....no two cars are the same. What I'm running could very well make your car go boom....

On a side note, its amazing how steep the learning curve is with MS. I feel like I'm a damn pro now and I've only been at it for a few weeks, lol. I'm still really careful with changes though

shlammed 04-16-2010 07:21 PM

you have a wideband yet?

You ask for basemaps? Your name is track tested? Ok seriously, joe gave me some cranking pw's when i was being noobish about my injectors. Search. It is in general miata chat I think. You can change your req fuel, megatune does it, all you have to do is punch in your engine parameters.

TrackTestedMiata 05-05-2010 11:16 PM

Oh man! This makes no sense to me. I change the files but, it doesnt save :S

http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/megatune i followed this guide.
I open those ini files with wordpad and save them, but it doesnt show up? wtf

StarGehzer 05-06-2010 12:27 AM

Megasquirt is not for everyone.
To start with, you definitely need to be fairly computer literate. If you are saving files, but they don't show up you might need a computer course before you start programing the MS.
If you're in a hurry you might want to return the car to stock then do a pile of reading.

That's why I recommend parallel installs to MS noobs. You can wire the inputs only, test. Wire the injectors, test and tune. Then wire the ignition, tune.....

Avoids a lot of hassle.

Im going to not agree with that. The first time I tried to install the MS, in parallel, it was PITA. Actually that made me decide to go standalone.

Braineack 05-06-2010 03:15 PM

there's no difference.

Whatever, Im 2lb lighter :fawk:

AlexO35 05-06-2010 04:46 PM

The difference is you're not changing as many things at once, so the car is driveable the whole time and the learning curve isn't as steep.

The first time the MS was in my car it had no control, just the inputs wired up. I could datalog, set temp cals, verify all my sensors worked, flash w/o worry, etc....

Then I wired in the injectors. I was able to tune fuel only, while the stock ECU ran the ignition system. Took the ignition variables out of the setup.

The whole intent was to reduce possible failure points for troubleshooting purposes. The car never down, and I only had one change to look at for issues.

Can go a lot smoother than "Just plugged in my PNP standalone, now nothing works"

Does your car start yet? Email me the .msq you are currently trying to use...
