Have a look in the right lower corner of the VEAL window if any of the filters keep VEAL from applying changes to the map...

Once the car warmed up there were no filters running. It didn't go lean as fast but it still went lean. When entering boost it stayed at about 13:1 then started to go up again. I forgot to take a log but I'll upload my current tune.

Ok so I'm reviewing a log and it seems that when boost increase it seems that the pulse widths drops off. Should I try accel enrichments or should I mess with the fuel table first?

Ok so here's the deal I can hit two psi without it bogging and going super lean. I cannot at all drive above 4500-5000rpm's at a low load(no boost) without it going full lean. Also what units does the MAP sensor record, and display in the datalogs? kPa? I'm so confused I thought autotune would take care of this nonsense, I don't want to do actual work, that'd be terrible. But seriously is there something I'm missing that is making it not work? Or do I have to adjust the settings and then let autotune readjust them?

Which injectors are you using?

I'm using the rx-8 yellows which flow ~488cc at 60psi. I even checked the part number on the physical injectors to make sure they were indeed the rx-8s

Which turbo and how much boost were you running? I very seriously doubt you're running out of fuel...

It's an ebay turbo (T3) I can post a link if necessary. But yeah I only hit about 2psi(according to my boost gauge) before it goes lean. I don't think I am either which is why I'm confused. Also why would it go lean at high rpm's but low load?

I'd just watch your logs where it goes lean, then look at the cells where it's leaning out at and manually add fuel. Then run the car and log again...keep adjusting it manually until the afr's are close enough for your liking.

ok I'll try that. Would it be advisable to run auto tune after I change it manually?

Maybe? I noticed a while ago when I autotuned...if my table was wayyy off and it autotuned, it would be way wayyy off. If I hand tuned it and got it close, then autotuned it, it would be dead on. The only thing that auto tune didn't correct for me, was my richness when pulling like 21inHG and being slightly on the throttle. I got like 12 something AFR when on slight throttle and pulling a lot of vacuum, but I don't care, it's better than being lean, and I could easily tune it out by hand.

Ok I need help. I reviewed a section of a log where I had the going lean when hitting high rpm, or going into boost. In the cells where the leaning out was occurring I added fuel(I think, you make the number smaller to add right?) That didn't help and it was pretty garbage when running (afr's were way off). So I put the autotune back on and seems to be going back to the way it was before. Also I run really rich when I do cold starts, should I adjust the PWM idle cranking duty?

bigger number = more fuel

Oh my god. So I think I'm figuring it out. After realizing I have to increase numbers to increase fuel I had an epiphany. The auto tune won't add fuel because I won't drive my car in boost when its lean, obviously. So I need to add fuel. But how much, and how much is to lean in boost? Then I remember the target afr table. Which is setup to be conservative and how auto tune adjusts the fuel (I think, but correct me if I'm wrong). So I just made it very rich and then let auto tune go to town and.....IT WORKED! It still needs smoothing out as I just made it rich and had like two seconds before the laptop died. But oh my god. The boost, the torque. I almost threw up and crashed in second gear because I was so taken aback. More tuning and noob questions to come.

It's the bee's knee's. I'm still working on it though. I logged WOT in 4th and it went lean so I'm working on that now. I also got to work on my high rpm, low load leanness. I'm just glad I can drive without pretending I'm on an economy run anymore.

I told you MS would **** you off and you'd hate it, but then you'd figure it all out and you'd love it!
