BMW tps question
I have a 9093 MSPNP and its been modified by DIY to use a variable TPS.
I got this BMW TPS (0 280 120 406) I noticed there are 3 jacketed wires and the other 3 aren't. Does anybody have a wiring diagram that actually shows w/c wires are spliced onto the OEM harness. TIA http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...r/DSC01841.jpg |

My money's on the black, brown, yellow trio. If it's anything like the 0280120402, then black is +5, brn is gnd, yellow is signal out. A multimeter will tell you for sure. |

The resistance between the 5 volt and ground pins will remain constant. The resistance between the ground and signal pins will be low with the throttle closed and high with the throttle wide open. The resistance between the 5 volt and signal pins will be high with the throttle closed and low with the throttle wide open. Using these rules, you can establish which pin on the TPS goes to which wire. |
the 3 shielded wires are definitely the signal lines based on the ohmmeter readings but what about the other 3, are they even used?
