Default MS3X harness check. (Flyback Diodes)

I've built the board components and pretty much finished the harness to Franks 90-97 spec. However I am very uncertain about the flyback diode location recommendations.. it just does not seem right.

I've done my research, and found that westfield recommends (numerous threads) to place the diodes outside the pcb and near the TYCO plug.

My question is have I wires them right?

I've just bridged the diodes from the 12v (banded on 12v) and the other ends of the diodes to ms3x pin 9, 1 and A/C fan out put ms3x pin 20.

This is the back, I had to wire in an extension to reach the Idle wire (diode is under heat shrink)

Picture of cat to show I mean business

I almost got over the whole build with out asking any questions... combo breaker.

Any help would be greatly appropriated!

Edit: yes im going to fix all the shrink.

Personally, I think the best location for flyback diodes is near the coil causing the flyback. Pretty easy to wire at that location too. You can even buy relays that have flyback diodes built-in.

I've also had relays that would cause issues even with flyback diodes. In those cases a Solid-State relay cleaned things up.

Good luck.

I do them inside the case in the proto area. but yeah, that works, just insulate them.
