Can someone explain MS3 EGO delay table?
I'm trying to nail my tune down as much as possible. Anyway, It seems to me EGO delay would be the time difference between a change in Injector PW and the change in AFR as read by the wideband. But in the Megamanual:
Use EGO Delay Table Specifies whether to use IGN events or delay table to determine how often EGO runs. So why is this called a Delay table? what is the merit of having a 12x12 table for it? Apparently the value I'm thinking of is static, which is troubling considering there is a variation in delay depending on RPM and manifold pressure. To add further confusion, check out the wording of the delay value: EGO Sensor Response Time Static value representing O2 sensor response time which is added to the EGO delay table value So, is the delay table really delay table, or is it a table that represents how often EGO sampling is done? |
So I did some research on MS EXTRA and it looks like it is truly a delay table in the sense of what I thought it was.
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=47005&p=338170&hilit=Ego+del ay+table#p338170 And the delay in MS is added to whatever static value is set in the EGO response time field. At least that's how I'll interpret it until some smarter than me chimes in :) |
