Can they all just get along? (clutch switch bypass, flat shift, launch control)
 

I am in the process of getting the motor back in the car and tuned.

My engine guy wants me to bypass the clutch switch that requires the clutch to be depressed to start the car. ( It's easier on the thrust bearings)

I want launch control and flat shift.

SO....
The question, how do I accomplish all three?

leave the clutch switch intact.

run a wire from the clutch switch wire (Y-connection) to a switch that closes to ground when you hold it (momentary switch). When you start the car, hold that switch to enable the starter circuit.

launch control and flat shift can work together. one requires the car to be stationary is all.

I unplugged mine and jumper it with a wire. I used the Other switch on the clutch pedal for the fun stuff.

There are two seperate clutch switches.

At the bottom of travel is a large white switch that engages the starter. It has two big, heavy wires coming out of it.

At the top of travel is a smaller metal-bodied switch that is normally used for cruise, which is the one you'd want to use for launch control. This one is conecterized, with two thing wires.

Bypass the lower switch, and leave the upper one alone.


Here, the red switch is the one that the starter is on, the green switch is the one that controls launch.

What Joe said. I bypassed the starter interlock but still have a clutch input to the MS. The one you want comes right to the ECU harness. Note that the stock ECU input is not only a clutch switch though, it will also assert when in neutral. This is fine as long as you don't need to rev the engine in neutral without hitting the launch limiter.
