CEL and updated IAT and EBC?

I will be installing a Rev. build MS2 for my MSM Miata. I was wondering if anyone knows off hand if the upgraded IAT and EBC can be run off the stock ECU without triggering a CEL.

I will need to swap back in the stock ECU every two years for emissions so the goal is to run as many of the add-on parts without a CEL to make that swap easier. If it is known that these items generate a CEL then as I install them I can think about how to best make them adaptable to a swap back (hence not button them down too tight).

I hope that is a clear question. Thanks.

I know it won't work on a NB2 so I'm pretty sure it won't on an msm.
No personal exp tho, I just swap back.

yeah, that is what I was afraid of. I did read a post that indicated it would not read correctly with the GM sensor so even if there was no CEL it would not be a good idea. I think I will make pigtails for the two senors and a quick connect and just make sure I don't loose one sensor or the other. Time to learn to solder.

I feel like I can plumb the EBC so that I either add or take away a T-junction depending on which ECU I run but I'm not sure what the best approach might be.

Which ever way I guess I need to just buck up and take the stance that a CEL is likely the outcome of too much fussing and so swapping is the answer.

I like your approach. I have the same one :)

Harnesses/pigtails/plugs for everything. Make everything pnp. It's a pain the 1st time, and then later you'll love yourself for doing it.

well that gives me hope I am not being a total idiot about this.

now I need to find a good pigtail system.

cheers.
