Closed loop idle on DIYPNP for 99-00

Hi,

I just downloaded the new "base-MSQ" for the 99-00 DIYPNP and I have seen, that there is the MS2 Closed loop idle activated. Ben also mentioned that DIY had quite a success with this.

I noticed, that the target RPM seem a little high to me. Is this intention?

I would like to discuss this and the people that are running the cl idle to post their experiences.

Greets and thanks

We set it slightly higher than stock but not by much. On the test car, we actually backed the idle speed set screw down so the valve is slightly open at idle; the closed loop seems to work better that way.

Glad to hear it worked for DIY! I'm looking forward to seeing if their settings work for everyone.

The owner of the car says it idles better than stock.

Car is up and running - idle is quite well, but:

- the car starts and the engine revs up to like 3000 rpm. After 3-5 seconds it goes done to ~1200 rpm and idles quite well. If I start the car more often (as you do, when you set up things) the idle goes even higher for 3-5 seconds after startup. (had ~4.000 rpm)

Any thing I should change?

Thanks, Greets

Sounds like heatsoak on the air temp sensor to me.

Definitely not.

Change the cranking PWM variables... make the duty lower for the temperature you're talking about.
