code version does not match signature
So I finished my MegaSquirt(MSI ver 3.0) Standalone build for my 97. I start getting ready to load the software and was following Brain's FAQ. I loaded the the MSnS+Extra Hi-Res code with the boot pin jumpered, and had no problems. A little over 1700 records loaded. Opened MegaTune and got the following error message:
Controller code version does not match signature in MSnS-extra.ini. (See audit.log for where the above file was found.) Expected "MS/Extra format hr_10 **********" (found in ini file) Received "MS/Extra`format`hr_10`**********" (from controller) Table corruption may occur, this is usually a very serious problem. Terminate MegaTune now? MSII Downloader was logging this on two different loads: Writing: Write complete, 1774 records, 28036 bytes. Verifying: Signature: "MS/Extra`format`hr_10`**********" Verify complete. Elapsed time: 86.38 seconds Writing: Write complete, 1774 records, 28036 bytes. Verifying: Signature: "MS/Extra`format@hr_10`**********" Verify complete. Elapsed time: 82.89 seconds Writing: Write complete, 1774 records, 28036 bytes. Verifying: Signature: o@`qp@jjjjJjjJjj Verify complete. Elapsed time: 85.64 seconds Writing: Write complete, 1774 records, 28036 bytes. Verifying: Signature: O`@qp`jjjjjjJjjj Verify complete. Elapsed time: 84.85 seconds At this point I am thinking I need to resolder the serial communication circuit and hit the whole board with flux cleanner. I have not taken the flux off yet. I am hoping some other people have more ideas though. I followed the megamanual for the build and tested along the way. I did the Miata related mods according to the DIYAutoTune website. When I was loading the firmware my serial data rate was 9600. If there are any details I am forgetting let me know. Sorry for the long post. |
MSII downloader always corrupted/fucked up the signatures for me. I gave up on it and use the download-firmware.bat file now.
