Cold start - have to push throttle a bit to start - what MSQ change?

Hi,

my car doesn't want to start easily when it's cold outside (~5°C/41°F).
The car needs a little while to start - if I push the throttle a bit it starts immediately. So now I always have a little trouble to decide what to change in my MSQ.

Am I correct that I need a higher PWM idle cranking duty? (Because that is what I do by stepping on the throttle - let more air in? Please help me out here...

Thanks!

think about what that means...you are needing more air when you start...so maybe your crnaking table is too rich at certain colder clt temps? maybe.

Yes, that should do it.

or that.

O.K. many ways going in the right direction... ;-)))

look in your logs for your normal idle duty when the car starts from that temp and is running at high idle. start with that duty cycle and add 10% and enter it in your cranking duty.

Sounds right to me. Check the CrankingDC under the "Idle Control". I've seen values ranging from 40-60 here.
