Confused on AC Idle Up
Just installed a MSPNP2 on my 99 Miata. I got it to have a decent idle and running fairly well. However, turning on the AC instantly kills it. I've tried adjusting delay, min RPM and RPM up values in Tuner Studio but it seems like nothing makes a difference. It dies before the idle has a chance to increase. I'm running version 3.4.3 if that helps.
Any guidance would be appreciated. I'm attaching what my settings currently are. Also, ignore the 1ms delay setting that was a typo when getting the screenshot. It's typically at 200 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e6893d7cfb.jpg |
Nevermind: I'm tired of f****** with this thing. Going back to stock ECU. The hundreds of threads where people "almost have their car dialed in" on Megasquirt tells me it's just not for me.

Wow, patience is not your thing is it?! That took all of 43 minutes for you to spit the dummy. Even your other thread where you asked for an answer 'real quick' took four hours to get a reply ... :dunno:

You literally have “idle up output” disabled.

Looks like the MSPNP2 uses a hardware switching circuit to turn on the A/C compressor relay instead of using a programmable output.
After a quick google I found this. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1342534178 So if you think the delay is too short, you can still increase it. Are you also using the idle adaptive advance? You'll find that will help a lot with overall idle stability instead of just trying to use the idle valve. |
