If one knows 3 things:
- the pressure in the EGR chamber - the pressure in the intake mani - the pressure drop vs. flow characteristics of the orifice between them Then one can derive the flow rate. I don't know if the ECU actually uses the pressure sensor to measure MAP, or if it deduces it from RPM and AFM reading. |
The '94-'97 pot voltage could be fed to the non-linear barometric correction and tuned to fit. Alternatively convert the pot output to 50...150 Hz square wave (simple 555 circuit or something) and feed to flex fuel input, then you'd also have spark advance when egr on. Either should work over the narrow operation range needed for cruise.

Thread resurrect. I need EGR to easily pass emissions with this NB2 motor. Has anybody actually controlled their valve yet? I have both an NA and NB EGR valve.

This is to pass the sniffer test I assume?
