problems with vista and megatune..
So I have this problem, when im in megatune, after about 10 min, i seem to get the blue screen of death and the computer re starts. Sometimes it works for a longer time, some times shorter. It seems to happen quicker when datalogging.
I was considering vibration and the harddrive but im not sure.

It is a dell xps, core 2 (6200 series if I rember right), 4 gig of memory, etc.
And it only does it with megatune.
more importantly, its the only laptop I have.
Hell I should just dual boot XP. Maybe that will be a project while im at college.

Mine is a Fujitsu Stylistic 3400. It's got a P3 running at 400Mhz, 128 MB of RAM (upgraded from 64MB), a 6GB hard drive and is running Windows 2000. I paid a whopping $130 for it on eBay. As such, I feel safe leaving it permanently mounted in the car at all times, knowing that if it's ever stolen, the thief will feel like an idiot when they realize what they took and it won't cost me much to replace.
It never bluescreens.

I'd have to second the uninstall and reinstall thing. MegaTune runs just fine on Vista, so it sounds like your version of MegaTune may be corrupted or something of that sort.
Oh, and make sure that you run the installer as the "administrator", My limited experience with Vista causes me to just tell everybody that though. Everything seems to work better when you right click it, and select run as administrator.
