Coolant Related Air Density Settings
What are you guys running for the coolant related air density settings?
On the main page I have 50 105 55 110 60 115 65 119 70 124 75 129 102 150 My real questions comes down to whats under your settings. I have Air denseity Correction: Corrected Correction based on: IAT Corrected Start to reduce at : 2000 End Ccorrection at: 3000 I got those from the diyautotunes mspnp maps and when I applied those setting it really made my car run rich. I am wondering if I should undo them or leave them and tune from there. I looked at a few msq posted on here and no one had anything set for those so I am curious as to how I should procede. |
I have never touched mine since adam set it up for me. works just fine
|
I would suggest disabling CLT Related Air Density... If you use our entire map then those settings should be fine and you could leave it enabled, if you're trying to just pull these settings from our map then I'm thinking you'd be better off without them.
FWIW it's disabled on the MSPNP MM9495 map. I'd do the same on the MM9093 map though I'll need to retune the VE table to do so... |
Thanks Jerry for the reply, I was just trying diffrent things and that was something i noticed you had on in the msq I had got form you. I will turn it off tommorow and go about tuning as normal.

I use the following settings:
10 96 20 100 30 105 40 109 50 114 60 118 80 128 That's with the same settings as you have i.e. IAT based correction. I can't state enough how much of a difference these settings made to the drivability of my car! Previously when hot starting the car ran *really* lean and the idle was way too low (MS not controlling idle currently) with these settings it's 95% stock now. It's not hard work driving the car from a hotstart/heatsoaked anymore. |

Keep in mind this is a stock intake on a black car so there is massive amounts of heat soak. With the high IAT temps it will sometimes make my car run lean and the idle becomes very rough and movece all over the place. So I was curious if this would help fix that any. |

you may need to fine tune it further, but I've a feeling it'll be lots better straight off from using mine :) |
I found the linke for the explanation of how exactly this all works but after reading I still am confused about it.
http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Ex...l.htm#cooldens The description of what it does sounds exactly what is happening with my IAT temps so I am assuming I should figure this out. I am trying out richys settings but I am still unsre how exactly this all works. If any one could get me a slightly better explanation it would be greatly welcomed. |
