Could someone help me come up with a good afr target table?

Well so far I think I've been alright at diy'ing it and trying to figure things out for myself but with this one I just don't want to risk using my limited tuning knowledge and really fucking things up.

So I have a jr m45 sc setup with the mspnp on a 96. It makes 5-6 pounds of boost and it comes in like any other supercharger does. I found a couple of other afr target tables from other people running ms with their sc's but they're both a bit different.

Here's a comparison of what I've found. I'm not looking for the be all end all of target tables, just something a bit more appropriate to datalog to instead of the stock 96 table.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks a lot.

I'm probably such a 'tard, but why do those values seem so low, instead of being close to 14.7?

nicacus 04-17-2009 01:45 PM

because he's using an AEM wideband his targets are in volts not A/F ratio

Are those lamba values while in AFR mode or are you really in lamba mode?
If you have a WBO2 and are in AFR mode, this one will do.

I'd check out this thread and make the changes. it will make things 100000000000 times easier

Spookyfish's is very reasonable and a good average. That's what I am using/working towards.

mine are richer in boost and leaner in cruise [than this one], but you get the jist:

Richer where? I'd say you're a tad leaner everywhere.

nicacus 04-17-2009 03:37 PM

I need to richen mine up.. I'm still hitting 12.1 max

I target 15.7:1 in cruise and 11.8:1 in boost above 7psi.

I tried that the second time I had the car running. Not too sure what I did wrong but it ran dangerously bad.

Yup, AEM UEGO setup.

Yeah it's in AFR mode, just needs translating over, I've got a chart so I can do that for myself.

You have to re do all your targets in the table and then re tune accordingly. I had the same problem.

jdmaddox88 04-17-2009 07:07 PM

Yeah that's what I suspected but it got to the point where I just wanted it running after working on it for a couple weeks none stop.

quick question - considering the car switches into open loop at around 100kpa or so, how come people tune so much over it?

Laur3ns 04-18-2009 03:19 AM

@jd: because this target table is/can also (be) used by MLV when analyzing logs and tuning your VE table.
