Default Wideband problems

Hey guys, I installed my pnp and got the car started. I have the wideband sensor going into the megasquirt. I adjusted the settings to get it working properly, and it was for a while. Then the usb port failed to communicate, so I switched the usb port and re-established communications. At this point, the megatune AFR display started reading about 3.5 richer than what the UEGO was displaying. I believe that the UEGO is telling the true AFR. Any ideas? Was working, then all of the sudden no dice.

AEM is not the best to work with MS and USB problems hit me to. Look for chads posts to make sure you have your charts right to decipher the WB reading. and check your grounds to make sure all is tight and right.

The thing that really bothers me is that the megasquirt and the UEGO were tracking with each other, and then suddenly wouldn't. Just seemed like something strange, but I will make sure of that. I am going to check the actual voltage output from the UEGO tommorrow and see what it is saying. I will check all the grounds thouigh, just to be for certain.

So, I fixed the problem by simply redoing the grounds to a centralized place on the motor itself. This and I restarted my computer, and for some reason these fixed it. As of right now, the car runs relatively well. I get just a slight exhaust pop at idle. It idles right at 34kpa, and idles at 15 AFR. I tried using the afr targets, but I think that my VE table is just way too off for what I want. The datalogging is truly awesome though. I will continue to tune throughout the week, and hopefully will have a pretty good basetune down. Unfortunately, until I get my welder, I will not be able to delete the afm. But, the car runs really well.
I also forgot to mention that I was getting a reset about every 5 seconds or so, and then I reset my laptop, and it fixed that also.
