We'll do the same thing I said above. This is a cheap item, there's no tracking with Air Letter so there's minimal risk you'd be taking, but generally it pretty much always gets there, and quickly. We'd make Air Letter a standard option on the site but we have some people who then ship using that as the cheapest method then complain about the lack of tracking or insurance, and if it doesn't show up want us to cover it. No amount of explaining the risk beforehand will prepare some people unfortunately. So it's just been the safer option (for our customers and for us) to stick with USPS Express which offers tracking and optional insurance, and is still FAR cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

But that said, on little items like this where Express shipping would cost as much as the item we will make exceptions from time to time and do Air Letter. Shoot us an email to make that happen-- websales@diyautotune.com

Jim
I don't have that connector application in dev yet (2 others in the works now), but it is on the short list Rev. I'll put it on the even shorter list... I wanna see it happen. That said, it will take some time (~2 months maybe if I get on it now) to bring a final product together with prototypes on the PCB, endplate, and then production runs. If you wanna patch your system together sooner then go for it. You certainly have the skills.

Jim, we're planning to add more connectors on a regular basis. While the next two are already decided, the '01 and later Miatas are one we have quite a few requests for already. I can't give you a release date for it though.

Jonny, you can set up an Air Letter shipment if you email us at websales@diyautotune.com. Like Jerry said, these packages can't be tracked or insured, but for something this tiny and cheap it'll work OK anyway.

Hi Jerry or Matt,

is there a way to adapt my EGT sensor to the DIYPNP?

BTW:
I just had a look at the outputs sheet - when I run sequentiell spark AND fuel I will lack at least one output for boost/fan - is this correct?

Running both sequential COP and sequential fuel will leave you with just three other outputs, and that includes the IAC and the PIB4 port that the current code doesn't use for anything.

You could use one of the EGT amplifier circuits floating around on MSExtra.com with the ADC input ports. Or wait for Jean's I/O extender board to let you bring in an EGT signal for each cylinder over CANBUs.

This would be fantastic. I am to the point that I need to start putting the jumpers in.

A Jumper Guide for my 91 Miata would be very very helpful.

I think a wiring guide for the 90-93 with the DIYPNP is already in the works.

My kit will hopefully be arriving in the next few days. I'll post a writeup as I go along.

Any differences when we drive without MAF ?

Are there any PINS to use for the 4 Sparkoutput´s and Boost-Controller reserved?
Why are no Plugs for the other PINs sended together with the DIYPNP like at MSPNP?

The spreadsheet assumes that you've disconnected the AFM and are tapping into the fuel pump wire.

The banded side should go towards 12v.

Some things I noticed about the spreadsheet...

It has TACH OUT going to 4I, which is incorrect. I assume that is needed on the later cars, but not on the 90-93.

FUEL PUMP is going to 4T, which should go through the DB25 (which is mentioned elsewhere).

It also has 4C and 4D going to GROUND, but those should really go to SIGNAL GROUND.

Looks interesting. Never realised pins 3,4,5 on the MS2 cpu were unused (although I did look at the iouts a couple of times). IOW, the clock circuit can be omitted on any MS2.
Funny, with Abe' seperate input circuits, Jean's 4 channel driver board and no clock circuit, a MS2Extra board is starting to look awefully empty . Add to that a 64pin breakout board and no DB37 and there's really not much left.
There would be a crowded proto area and 2 seperate circuit boards of course ...

I wonder, why is the stock MS injector circuit so large compared to Jean's circuit (and there's even 4 ign drivers on it as well)?

Contemplating switching to sequential and cops on my next MS build although I'm a bit paranoic and want to be able to switch back to the stock ecu at any time (PnP!). I always carried it with me in the trunk just in case the MS failed on me.

Good catch - I'd started with a later Miata spreadsheet. Fixed version attached.

The regular MS circuit has a PWM current limiting and an overcurrent shutdown circuit in it, plus Jean's (and the MicroSquirt's) driver circuit uses surface mount packages to shrink the circuit a bit.

if i want to solder the BOOST-Controller PINOUTS to the DB15, which PINS have i to brigde to the DB15? IN or OUT?

I think OUT is the right one, but for what is IN?

And is there a solution for MAP Switch?
