DIYPNP, falls on its face between gears, what to adjust first?
 

When I am shifting at WOT just about, or at redline, and I grab the next gear the motor has dropped way down in RPM and takes a second to adjust and then jumps back into acceleration. What setting should I look at adjusting to hold the RPM's up between gear changes? As it is right now, it drives great, but shifting in anger is really jerky because the RPM's drop so quickly when shifting.

the DIYPNP has nothing to do with that unless it's stalling out.

So you think this is just the engine decelerating with no throttle input as it normally would with a stock ECU?

Is there any settings to delay or hold RPM's in the DIYPNP? The last 1.8 I had in the car never responded this way, but that was running a 1.6l throttle body, which has a vacuum/spring dashpot to hold the throttle and delay the throttle plate closing. Thanks for your help.

Not really, the speed in which the RPMs drop is a function of the flywheel really.

Same set-up though. I just took the flywheel/clutch out and put it on the new motor, so that should not have made a difference. Thanks for your help.

but it does sound like maybe you need better acceleration enrichments. try fooling in the wizard.

Do you have flatshift activated?

No flatshift for me. I prefer to not use that.

I asked because I had this once. On the Euro 98-00 cars the neutral and clutch switches are in parallel and so the launch control was triggered on shifts.

You could deactivate over-run fuel cut if you have that active. That would slow down the RPM drop!

Over-run fuel cut has never been active, but thank you for the suggestion.

Brain, I checked my Acceleration Wizard settings on this set-up, started with a different basemap, VS my previous set-up and the TPS based AE curves are very different. How does this curve effect deceleration?

Alright, another one is timing. What does your timing look like in the bottom of the table?
