DIYPNP problem PA0 VICS output

hello,

got some problems with my MS2extra rel.3.3.0.

i tried to get my 99 BP4w engine working with my 91 miata (with -93 DIYPNP) with the VICS solenoid:

connecting:

VICS ground (left pin on the solenoid) --- DB15 port 15 --- relais2 OUT --- relais 2 IN --- PA0.

but everytime i´m going to activate PA0 - my tunerstudio pops up a window "error with configuration - cant handle it - restart MS".

:/ whats the problem? some ideas?

edit: theres no difference if i´m conneting the VICS solenoid or not.

it says "cant handle it"?

What happens when you follow the directions on screen?

Sorry for the late reply... braineack 100Points ;)

stupid misstake - i went for my launch control today - and there was PA0 not PE1 ... ouch!

thx for quick help guys ;)

...

one last question - VICS solenoid right pin = 12V and left pin = ground (wire to MS ECU) right?

it doesnt have polarity. you can hook it either way, i couldn't tell you which is which by looking unless i saw the plug wire colors.

i found this picture on google - but it isnt the original connector

its hard to find pictures of the oem connector wiring - maybe someone got a wiring manual for 99-00 miata/MX5?

edit: found at google search "The Red/White wire coming out of the VICS solenoid valve (it's the wire closest to the front of the car) should be attached to a 12V switched supply - I just spliced that wire onto the Red wire from the Summit Racing swich at the point where I lengthened the red wire. If you don't have the VICS solenoid valve male connector off the 99/00 wiring harness (luckily I did) you'd have to find some way to attach wires to the female plug.

The Blue/White wire coming out of the VICS solenoid valve (the one closest to the firewall) attaches to the blue wire on the Summit switch. The blue wire grounds the VICS solenoid valve (which energizes it) below the set RPM - that will mean as soon as you start the car the solenoid valve will energize and actuate the vacuum actuator for the vics, from idle all the way up to the switching point (sounds backwards to me but that's how it works). I soldered the joint and covered the joint with shrinkwrap."

btw...

does the idle valve at miata BP4w have polarity?
