DIYPNP - PWM idle settings
2 Attachment(s)
Hey
Can you guys help me out with the correct settings for my 97 miata ? https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1359026137 10x ! |
those are only a small part of all the pwn settings. and don't seem correct.
|
What would be the correct settings ?
|
You are using pwm warm up only. You need to set idle control to pwm closed loop, then tune the paid idle settings and idle valve settings. Lots of threads on that here....
And set the freq at 9 or so, 13 may be a bit slow. Use the lowest value that doesn't hum, or hum so loudly that it bugs you |

here's a base.

My tuner says that closed loop does not work fine, and say we go with PWM warmup, a/c is still a problem...
|
Your tuner doesn't want to spend 10 minutes to do it, that's all.

In pwm warm up, once the car is warm, the pnp has no way to control idle, so yes the A/C will be a problem.
Your tuner is wrong. If pwm closed loop won't work with a miata, the pwm warm up wouldn't either... Simply google "miata ms PID " |
pwm closed loop works but not right, so I use pwm warm up for now...

Getting PWM-Warmup to work correctly and only then moving on to Closed-Loop is the right way to go as I see it.
This is my current-final CL settings (after long time with PWM-Warmup). https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...2&d=1415174168 *Just closing up all my threads with the solutions I found. |
