Default Voltage creep on Auto 4-Wire TPS

I swapped over from TPS201 to an Automatic 4-Wire TPS on my 90 Racecar. However, now when I calibrate TPS, the low setting keeps creeping up after a rev, and then letting the sensor sit for a few minutes. If I rev the engine it returns to 0% but keeps creeping up as I let it sit there. I confirmed the TB is not moving, it appears to be just the sensor. What should I test/check first?

Anyone? I've checked the grounds on the rest of the car and they are clean and re-torqued. Still have voltage creep in the auto sensor.

Your 1.6 auto VTPS should function like the standard 1.8 VTPS. There is one part of the TPS that functions as an on/off switch and just tells the ecu whether the throttle is open or closed. This part is to be adjusted with a feeler gauge. The other part of the tps is a potentiometer which changes the voltage the ecu sees based on how far the throttle is rotated. Use a DMM to ensure the first part is set up correctly then use the DMM to see if the resistance value of the potentiometer is actually changing while the throttle is stationary.

Linky for TPS adjustment.

Thank you! Do you have a lnky for testing the auto-tps? It's a four pole - at least the one I got from the wrecker is!

Same link. Use the 1.8 info. The 1.8 pins are likely the same as the 1.6 auto. Resistance may be different but that doesn't matter for your case. You just have to make sure the resistance value is consistent after the throttle is actuated and returned to the throttle stop.

Testing this properly will confirm the issue is in the TPS.
