Does anyone have a stock 2001+ spark map

Has anyone got a stock spark map for a 2001 car?

I'm just finishing a N/A build with some 10:1 pistons from a 2001 car and I'm not sure how much to retard the spark to account for the higher compression.

Thanks in advance

Do you have access to 100 octane?

Best I can get is 99 but I'd rather not tune for that because its not always available.

I'm just after a starting point for a high compression engine that I can carry on and play with using a knock sensor.

I'll post a map later when I have more time, however it is for 100 octane fuel, so you'll need to pull at least 5-7 degrees from the 50+kPa cells.

Thanks very much. As I say its only a starting point, I need to do a rough conversion anyway from speed density to alpha-n.

Here you go.

Needless to say of course that you must absolutely check that your base timing is correct with a timing light, as this is a pretty aggressive timing table for a 2001+ engine.

Reverant, your map is conservative compared to mine (@100 kpa). I'm using this map with 98oct gas. No knock at all and i've been running this map a year ago or so.

Ismael; I think I read reverant complaining in an earlier thread about the quality of gasoline in Greece. I'm pretty sure the one you buy in Spain is better.

The OP is looking for a conservative map due to his relatively high compression pistons.

Yes Rafa, gasoline is spain is pretty good. Duckie_uk, Reverant and me have the same 10:1 pistons, there must be another factor besides gasoline that determine the difference.

Remeber that here in Greece we have 40C summers. I probably could add about 3-5 degrees more in the winter.

Btw, since you are turbocharged, you are unlikely to stay at the 100kPa row across the entire rev band. Also, have you verified your base timing? My base timing was off by 7 degrees!

Dimitris
