Default ECU not communicating/non starter

I tried running through the tuner studio warm up enrichment auto tune the other day and after it wrote a change the car cut out with a ticking noise like a relay going on in the cabin.

Since this the car won't start. Switching the ignition on gets the rad fans running continuously and the car will turn over but won't fire up. I'm getting 12v to the ecu and my lc-1 which is powered form the ecu is coming to life. Tuner studio cannot see the ecu as being connected and the flashing software also cannot see the unit. It's a diypnp and the car is a 96 eunos roadster. Up until now it was running fine and if i put the standard ecu back in the car starts.

Any ideas on what's gone wrong?

Sounds like firmware corruption. Were you using a bluetooth adapter?

Which chipset on the adapter? FTDI? Prolific? CH341?

it's a pl2303.

I've been tuning with it for a few years and it's been fine.

If the firmware's corrupt how do I rescue it? I tried reflashing wiht the ms2loader app but that couldn't see the ecu at all

You need to install the boot jumper inside the ECU and then select that you are using the boot jumper in the ms2loader.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a shot tomorrow when I can work on the car again
