EFR 6758: pls sanity-check my tune

So, my kit is installed. It's finally time to make the transition from N/A to trubo. Before I grenade my fresh engine, would anyone care to perform a sanity-check on my tune?

tech facts:
- EFR 6758, 18 psi
- Megasquirt MS3-Pro
- built VVT engine: eBay forged rods, Supertech pistons (8.6:1), Wiseco rings, oil squirters removed
- 2.5" intercooler pipes, GFB DV+ recirc valve (for now, will use the integral bypass valve when the modifications have passed TÜV scrutineering)
- full 3" SS exhaust system
- 750 cc EV14 injectors, Walbro 190HP fuel pump
- BE stage 2 oil pump
- D585 ignition coils
- 50 mm radiator, coolant reroute, 25 row oil cooler
- european RON 95 fuel with 5% ethanol. I take it equals 'murican 91 octane fuel?

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...9c5c5149ff.pngIgnition table: been running the N/A area with 10:1 compression for 12,000. I suppose it's mostly the boosted cells that need looking at

Yup, that's a solid start

That timing map is extremely aggressive at high boost for a pump gas car.

Built engine and street car led me to believe it was okay.
210-230kpa he's running about 1-2* more than I tuned G's car on the 6258 and CA 91 water, being really conservative.
I'd guess his gas is still better than the junk we have here.
So I guess maybe drop 150-210 rows by 1-2*, but otherwise I think it's fine.

I run ~6deg less advance at 230kpa than that map does. Take that for what you will

Actually I just realized that we STOPPED there after lots of dialing in, and he's just STARTING and already at more timing, so you're probably right he should start way more conservative and only turn it up from there.

thank you, I really appreciate your comments guys!

95 is as bad as it gets. My car knocked with 98 with a lot less timing than that. There are some areas in this map you need to reduce 5-6 degrees.

Eunos91 06-09-2017 06:51 PM

so how does this one look? I pulled timing, even in some N/A areas for fear of knocking

looks fine. you can add it back in when tuning if the car is happy.

don't pull too much out of cruise/low load cells cause you're giving up efficiency for no reason. 40* on the bottom should be totally fine
