Evap canister + MS?

Has anyone hooked up their stock evap canister to megasquirt?
Does anyone know if the stock ecu controls it or if its on its own circuit and when it open and closes the valve.

Took mine out but after driving first time with it out, going into the store and coming back out, I don't like the smell.

any thoughts

I never noticed any different smell after removing my canister. Where do you have the line that went to it going?

Sounds like you've not hooked the two lines to the tank together. You can use one of the bits of tubing that gets pulled out when you remove the canister to join them up. That should stop the smell

its not that, their hooked, still stinks

It is stinky without it. I relocated mine under the car, ran the tank vent line to it and poof no more stink.

I have mine hooked up to the megasquirt, but there's not much point unless you care about emissions. And yes, the oem ecu does control it normally. If I were you I'd just ditch it.

Ditch canister: Gain testicular fortitude. A real car is supposed to smell like oil and gas fumes.
