First user with MsLabs MS2E troubles

Hello all,
I've been lurking on here for a few months, reading, trying to learn, attempting to understand. Awaiting my MS2E from MsLabs to arrive to Canada.
It's arrived, was installed last weekend, but I still have no freaking clue what I'm looking at, and I'm afraid Reverent will send a hit-man after me because he's sick of looking at his emails and seeing 40 new messages from me.

The car is a 1997 Mazda Miata, 1.8L stock everything.
EGR delete, Charcoal Canister Delete, Tochiji Fuji Super LSD diff with 3.9:1 gears.
OBX header, Innovate MTX-L wideband, Using GM IAT where the stock maf would be. Using stock intake tube.

I'm trying to learn by doing and seeing, but there's a point where I'm in over my head and need your expert help.

I've attached my current tune, as well as my datalog on my way to work, had to compress it as it was 5.86mb...

Here are my issues,

Startup is rough, seems to start at 300rpm and very, very slowly climb to 1000. My first throttle input after startup has to be quite harsh, no pussy-footing or it stalls.
At stop lights, you'll see at zero TPS it'll randomly cut fuel, AFR's to 22.1(normal due to fuel cut), and back to idle before it stalls.
You'll also see the idle go up to 1500, even 1700rpm at times, when there doesn't seem to be any load on the engine.
I'll be cruising and see the AFR go from 14.5 - 15.8 or even 16 something, and there was no change in load that I could detect.

Please help me learn and understand my vehicle.

Thanks in advance!

Was also reading a few threads pertaining to starting issues in MS, and realized I don't hear the fuel pump priming at all. Could the engine be trying to start, and as it senses the cranking RPM it starts up the fuel pump, making it a super slow and stumbly start until it finally builds appropriate pressure?

Anyone?

Tune fuel. Tune idle. Tune ladies. Use a piano.

Can't use a piano..... or tunerstudio apparently!

I've started from scratch using the basemap supplied. Retuned overrun, I think my throttle in issue came from tpsdot being at 40% for my ase. Will try 30% and see.

watch the tpsdot log at idle for a few minutes. set threshold just about that.

priming, i dunno. revs basemaps usually have an ultralong priming time. if you dont hear fuel pump prime at key-on, that's no good.

Fuel pump obviously works, as it idles. But where is the setting for the priming? Learning more everyday!

I found that with revs if i opened up the idle screw i could get her to idle fine around 800-1200 before any real tuning...
Once warmed up. Get your idle fuel right... Then startup is all After start enrichment (ASE) / (WUE) warmup enrichment.

Look into those two. ASE gets the engine kicking for a few secs then turns off, warmup enrichment multiplies fuel when cold. WUE can be auto tuned when idle fuel is correct.

I still have a bit of a engine strangle/hesitation on throttle when cold - but it hasn't bothered me enough to do anything about it just yet / looked into it. I assume that's all EAE tuning.

There's the tester in tunerstudio where you can activate your primer / injectors and sparks for troubleshooting but your already idling so its all down to the tune. If its struggling add more fuel. You can always remove it later. Better then running lean.

So it runs a lot better now, autotuned and took my time reading some more, looking at setting, looking at my logs.

Still can't see why my idle randomly oscillates from time to time when I come up to a light. It'll go up to 1800-2000, then pw goes to zero, afr goes to 22.1, and it's back at 1100rmp within a second. But it'll do it over and over again unless I give hard gas, or if I shut it off and turn it back on again.

Update:

Found the issue with the oscillating idle.
The engine would idle up for my fans to kick on, but would idle up too high and then ms would cut fuel and the fans.
And repeat, and repeat, and repeat. Until I gave it gas and the fans would kick on.
