so this begs the question - is 80kPa n/a the same as 80kPa boosted? i guess it is - as you say, load / BMEP will remain the same, the only difference is that n/a your throttle will be open letting the air in, and boosted the charger will be pushing the same amount of air past the 20% open throttle.

Exactly that, 80kpa is 80kpa, throttle position is completely irellevant.

Hell some engineds don't even have a throttle plate, what AFR do they run?

This is basically the table I use on my n/a 94. Haven't messed with boosted rows but 100 kPa and below works good. Change the 15.2 cells to also be 15.5. You can extend the 15.5 cruise region to higher rpm if you need, but I don't often cruise at 85 mph. I've changed a couple of other cells by a tenth or two but nothing major.



12.5:1 around peak torque, leaning out a few tenths at higher rpm for a tad more powah. I got ~33 mpg highway cruising with this target table on MS2, which is 2-3 mpg better than I ever got on the stock ECU. I haven't done any extended highway driving since going to MS3 and adjusting the injection timing table, but I made improvements there too, on the order of a few %. I'm optimistic that may net another ~1 mpg hwy. I get 25-28 around town with a fair bit of stop & go. You could run it a bit leaner than 15.5 in cruise if you're desperate, but it's good enough for me. If I go to 16.0 then it loses some smoothness during accel/decel transitions. It might help if I gave EAE another shot.

Wouldn't know honestly. Car sat for 14 months before I fixed it and did a trackday. Burned through 3/4 tank in 3-ish hours on a pretty warm day.

since I'm a hater I thought I'd post mine too.




Since I use VE Analyze a lot, I didnt want to pull the "lean" down into the 2000 rpms and screw up my idle coast down region. Plus I don't really cruise that slow anyway.

The only change I'd maybe consider making to improve things is to richen up the low boost a bit but I'm not going to sweat it.

Never knew you can change the target AFRs. Is this all on MS? My Hondata for my other car only lets me change values for closed loop and open loop.

Anyone know what kpa it switches to open? 1.6L if it matters, it gets stupid rich when in open loop, but that's to be expected.

This is all for the megasquirt. It switches to open loop where you tell it to, just adjust the EGO window.

Yes I understand.. it is a nice feature of MS, but was wondering if anyone knew of the switching point to open loop on a stock setup.

I notice a few of you still like to run the engine in the 14.x at 100kpa... pretty lean..
