Help this old guy with MS2E or MS3?

Okay, I am prepared for brutal turbo kitten flaming as needed.

Understanding that MS2E is somewhat less capable than MS3 basic (from Rev), what am I really losing?

I acquired a 1994 that is currently stock (well, no cat and an exhaust) that I am planning to turbo over the next several months.

It looks like the MS2E is pretty sweet, cheaper, and does not require an add on for a WBO2. Would a dumbass like me miss the enhancements of MS3? My math says it is about 300 bucks more for the newest...

Is it a deal breaker? No
Is it better? Yes, tons of little things that many that don't know any better dismiss and then wonder why their cars arent' running anywhere near as smooth/nice/oem-like as the rest of us.
For me, the answer is "yes, it is $300 dollars worth better".....to some of the super duper frugal guys here, not so much.
There's a list. I think it's in one of Rev's threads. MS3 doesn't require anything more than ms2e for wideband control, the CAN module is a really awesome gizmo, but not mandatory.

I went to MS2E to MS3. I'm happy I made the change, a lot of the functions that the 2E I never really used.

MS3 code works a lot better, and overall easier to use.
