How adjust map kpa/fuel load
 

Hey there got a 1990 Miata turbo with 420 cc rx8 injectors so my my vaccum line ended up being kinked and wasn't reading map pressure just atmospheric at all times.
Now I have fixed that bug and the map sensor is reading but it only dropped to 80 percent at idle and that's still too high.
any ideas on how to adjust this?

Are you saying TunerStudio is showing 80% in the VE cells supporting idle? Here's what mine look like.

And what makes you think this numbers are too high? Is your O2 sensor telling you the engine is running rich? If so, just adjust the numbers lower until you get the AFRs you want.

Yea but it just stays at 80 percent kpa and my afrs are reading 9.4 give or take a point running super rich then if I try to adjust the fuel ve table with lower number it stays at 80 and the afrs are good but the rpms are at about 1500 which that isn't right

Oh, I understand a bit more. You're not at 80% in a VE cell, you're in the 80 row of the table. If it's idling at 1500 rpm then you need to adjust your idle settings. If you're running closed-loop idle your idle target RPMs could be incorrect or your initial values need adjusting.

It sounds like your tune isn't making much sense. Where did you get your base tune from? You might want to download a new one from https://trubokitty.com/#/tune and start from there. There's also some documentation at https://www.diyautotune.com/support/ that'll lead you through the initial setup and tuning processes. I bet you'll get better results both from your car and on this forum if you start from there.

Yea exactly it's 80 at idle and my map came on my USB stick that diy auto tune sends you and I've read that documentation on diy auto tune but I will try the map on the link you sent me and start from there thank you very much for the response

I had idle in the 80's and running super rich for a few minutes until I realized my vacuum line to my ECU was disconnected. Check for vacuum leaks is what I'm saying.
