I learned something today

So... when you're adjusting the VE table to trim idle fuel, after you alt +b to burn, you have to close the table for the changes to take effect. I think that even though the load cell is changed on the table interface, the MS doesn't look up that value again until after you close the table.

I did not figure this out until today. Previously, when trying to tune idle, I'd drop the value in the idle load cell, burn, nothing. Lower the value, burn, nothing. My rich lo speed idle is no longer. Repeat: 440s idle fine at 900 rpm, right now I have it at 13.5:1. When I get a little time, I'm going to try to drop idle back to 850 rpm and see what happens. I'll also try it a little leaner for grins.

Last time I listen to you :gay:

mine takes affect as soon as i hit burn. i don't need to close the table.

If you do it in the Tuning VE Table it does it right away. Use Q and W to make it leaner or richer, then alt+b that shit. I could be wrong, but it works well for me. I'll be idling at 15, i'll add points at all four corners, alt+b, then i'm idling at 13.8 my sweet spot.
Worked when I did it, who knows i could be full of shit too.

maybe if your idle bounces around between cells then it doesn't matter :dunno: My idle generally doesn't move out of a single cell. I played with the bins a little to make it like that. Makes idle nice n smooth. But it absolutely, positively, doesn't change a thing until after I close the table out.
