I need a good base map for 90 with greddy MSpnp and 440's.

Ive read a couple books about tuning and have realized im not the type to read about something like this and pick it up. Im just wondering if I could maybe get a base map to get me about 75 miles to my tuner.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The map that came with it should be fine, you'll just need to change the req fuel value.

So I could just adjust the required amount of fuel until I get an adequate a/f reading and that would get me where I need to go as long as its not too lean?

here is mine, 90 with a 13g turbo and 460s. that should get you to the tunner with no problems

Hey thanks... So say I use that map and it doesnt work well with my car I can always go back to the factory base map it came with? Correct?

bryantaylor 02-12-2008 03:22 PM

as long as you change the req fuel and cranking settings, but you should be good to go with that, but dont drive it hard until you see were your A/F is!!!! its not my fault if you blow it up!

Braineack 02-12-2008 04:15 PM

If you have a PNP or any other MS for that matter don't load someone else's map. read the instructions and make the proper changes changes. Ie, cranking PWs, Req_Fuel, etc.

there are so many little options that could totally screw you over....for example, i could send you my file and it may have spark inverted and i could easily fry your ignitor right out. and id laugh.

LOL so Im just gonna have to buck up and try it myself. But it still goes that all I really need to do for it to be safe to drive is the timing and the req fuel?

cjernigan 02-12-2008 04:30 PM

Dont forget the cranking PWs so it doesn't flood when you try to start it.

yada 02-12-2008 04:39 PM

Forgive me for all the possibly stupid questions. Now when Im doin all this I just need to watch the A/F guage and make sure it doesnt go higher than 14:1? Or is there something else I need to pay attention to?

cjernigan 02-12-2008 04:51 PM

Yeah make sure you're not going lean, and if you're turbo don't overboost.
Watch your coolant temps and what not as well.

yada 02-12-2008 09:35 PM

Ok cool. Looks like im gonna give it a try this weekend. If anybody has any advice or anything that you could add to help me out please do.

Thanks yall for your help.

Ok. I dont have the injectors in yet. Im gonna try and tune it a little on the stockers then install them a lil later. Im having a problem with something. The a/f sits past 18 i mean when i first start it itl start around 14 but soon after it just jumps past what my guage will read but idles fine. Any suggestions? What should I do?

Savington 02-17-2008 01:32 PM

Have you read the MegaManual?

yada 02-17-2008 01:44 PM

Yeah most of it but im just not really getting anything out of it.

yada 02-18-2008 11:43 AM

Nothing Im doing is helping. Ive changed the req fuel and still stays lean. I know tuning cannot be this difficult. The car starts perfectly, idles perfectly, and sounds perfect at idle but just runs way to lean. I dont wanna hear READ THE MANUAL kuz ive read it almost all the way through. Srry if im sounding testy but this is trying my patience.

cjernigan 02-18-2008 11:49 AM

You set the reqfuel according to injector size and you tune the fuel table to the correct AFRs. If you can't handle tuning your own MS maybe you should have gotten a couple PC pros.

:dunno:

yada 02-18-2008 11:57 AM

I can handle it I have a little experience tuning. If I can tune with a microtech surely I can tune with this. Its like anything I change has no effect.

cjernigan 02-18-2008 11:58 AM

You are clicking burn when you make a change right?

yada 02-18-2008 12:22 PM

My bad just figured it out. I just didnt think that I would have to bump the req fuel all the way up to 20 to get the a/f up just to get a reading on the guage.

And I just found out that my rad isnt up to par and wont keep the temp down at stand still even with the awr fans and shroud.
