Default Fan Mod Help

I have a 91, with a DIY standalone megasquirt. Everything runs great, except megasquirt seems to have no control over the cooling fan. The stock thermoswitch works them fine.

I followed the directions here: Common MegaSquirt Modifications

But I connected it to js0. I have js0 set to fan control in megatune, and the indicator in megatune comes on at the correct temp. The fan doesn't physically come on. I have 1A hooked to pin3 on the D37.

Any ideas as to what to check?

Thanks

So you put the output on Spare 1 (pin3), but 1A is not the correct spot on the harness, try 1R!

I'm sorry, the letters on the diagram are kinda hard to read. It is on 1R, near the clutch switch wire.

I did some probing, and if i short pins 2 & 3 the fans come on. but its a no go with the MS doing it. So the issue has to be in my MS

Nope, the Transistor was doa. I replaced it with one from radioshack. In the process of changing them out, I damaged a thru hole in the proto area. The via came out with the npn. Thankfully it was on the B not the gate or the emiter. All is well now.

Thank You for wasting your time on an unworthy n00b like myself
