Default oops 9093 mspnp ran car with ST fuse in, damage?

Ok long story short i made the huge mistake to let a friend borrow my ecu to see if his Fe3 itb miata ran, and it did.

in the mean time just to start the car for 2 mins to let oil circulate, i put the stock ECU in with a 20A fuse in place of the 10A fuse (cause i couldnt find a 10A fuse) and i let the car run for a second, and then i shut it off...

i then got my mspnp back and i plugged it into the car and started quickly... it started for a second than died, then i started it again... started for a second than died...

i realized i still had the 20a fuse in place so i ripped it out now the car isnt starting... pulled all my plugs and its firing on all cylinders (spark on each cylinder)

is it possible that i damaged my MSPNP in those 2 seconds?

thx for the help im getting nervous i have a race this weekend

you damaged the driver the powers the fuel pump.

you can bypass it by jumping fp and gnd in the diagnostics connector, but it's not ideal.

its a simple transistor that gets replaced. I'm sure youll spend more on shipping than anything.

and yes it's okay, but if you crash your fuel pump will always be running.

The transistor is a ZTX553, and is located in the corner of the smaller board, near the tuning cable port. It is identified as Q5. The transistor is inexpensive and easy enough to replace if you have a soldering iron. You may be able to find one locally, or it can be ordered off our site:

We can fix it for $50 + return shipping, our minimum rate.

You won't harm the MegaSquirt by jumpering the fuel pump relay, but if you get in accident, a hard-wired fuel pump won't automatically shut off. So there is a safety risk there--the level of that risk is based on your judgement (I personally would not be comfortable).

You could put a string on the paper clip used to jumper the fp on and run it to the cabin. One yank and the fuel pump is off
