Idle and A/C Control on MS3-Basic
I wanted to verify settings and hopefully improve some anomalies at idle.
This is what I found: In going through Brain's Closed PWM control adjust procedure, I first ran into setting the PWM for full open was running up to around 5000 RPM. Hence, I did turn in the idle screw about 1/2 turn. Still, to get to 3500 RPM I was at 75% duty cycle (which numbers I used) but was afraid what 100% would send the idle to. On the closed side, I got 650 RPM @ 10.2 Duty Cycle. Didn't really get too far with really setting the PID, so I just put it back to what was there from Reverent. Question: Should I care that I could not find the true full open RPM? Second, in going through the procedure, I tried to set the A/C idle-up to zero. It still idled up by about 200 RPM (I did a power cycle). Then I set the A/C idle-up to "NO" and the result was no A/C clutch engagement at all. Question: Is that a bug? DNM |
