Increased wideband resolution w/ LC1
I was wondering if it's worth changing my wideband to a custom narrower output range in order to increase resolution of the signal? Right now it is set to 0-5v = 10-20afr, but I never tune for anything leaner than about 16 afr. Anything wrong with using something like 0-5v = 10-16 afr?? Anyone have any experience with this? The MS lets you set up custom input configurations, and the LM programmer lets you setup custom outputs... so it should be a piece of cake to do.

Wow, I'd never thought about it, but it could be nice. It's already providing much more resolution than you target table can account for though.

I do this for my narrowband gauge. ;)
When compared, logworks and Tuner Studio (10-20:1) display readings too spot on to detect any real difference...only that logworks updates 10x faster. And technically you're already making the res better; default is 7.5-22:1. |
yeah, i used to have it on the default setting, but i switched it to the 10-20 the other day. i just got to thinking... why not give it even BETTER resolution? :)
not sure if its my grounds or what, but logworks always comes in just a smidge richer than TS. better than leaner i suppose! |
It would work, and like you said should be very simple. I'm not sure exactly what the added benefit would be though, it's already fairly accurate.
