Check out my spark/fuel maps. Also, flatshift?

NEW MAPS IN POST #5

Last time around I blew up my motor, so this time I want to make sure everything is safe before I go out and really test her out with this new to me (used) '96 1.8L motor.

I'm running 15PSI on a GT2554R with 2.38" exhaust, soon to be 3", guessing somewhere in the ballpark of 235whp.

My initial throttle response if I were to jab the throttle at idle is a lot slower than it was on my old dyno tune on my AEM F/IC. Not sure if that can be fixed with these maps. I plan to run the autotune with those target AFRs for the next couple days and have it write directly to the controller.

Also, I notice when coming to a stop, my idle is slow to come down. It's fine when I start it up, but after giving it throttle or driving around, it doesn't come down as low or as fast as it should.

Oh, and does anyone use the Flatshift option? I use the 2-step launch, but flat-foot shifting would be fun at the drag strip. Not sure what settings I should input in that area, so I was hoping someone had a screenshot if they know what I'm talking about.

I'm mainly concerned about the timing map.

initial throttle response is all about acceleration enrichment.
flatshift is hard on your transmission

timing.... I would run a little bit less on a stock motor.
afr.... would run 11.5 everywhere in boost, so 100-200kpa

What kind of acceleration enrichment settings are best? And where would you retard timing? How many degrees?

I'll lean out the AFRs equally in boost.

I agree on 11.5 AFR on everything above 120kpa (leaner on 100-120kpa improved spooling on my car. ~afr 12-12.5)

if you want to be SAFE remove 2 degrees timing everywhere above 100kpa. But you can probably use that table.

Better safe then sorry. Optimizing the timing is best to do on the dyno with some kind of knock/ping detection.

There are some good safe tables on the forum if you search.

Updated all three tables. Thoughts on these ones?

AFR table looks good. Except I remember Hustler has said that 16+ afr doesn't help in fuel efficiency and that around 15.4 was best. Other than that it looks good to me.

AFR targets - I'm running a little richer in the 90-100kpa range from 2500rpm up. It will help the spooling as you enter boost and will make the transition smoother. Around 13.5-13.2 in that region would be nice.
