Input needed on custom install (non Miata)

I know this is a Miata board but I need some advise on installing Megasquirt in my 93 Toyota Landcruiser. This is the tow rig for my Miata so I guess that makes asking the questions here ok. I have been real happy with the megasquirt in my Miata and want the same for the Landcruiser.

The truck is OBD1. I don't care if I need to hack the ECU harness for install. I will have Sav tune it once installed. Just need some advise on what to buy etc. I feel confident I can do the install.

Kinda off topic, but I'm dying to know: why?

I guess the low-end torque gain is a very good reason to do this.

I see. So the mapping on those things is so terrible that with nothing but MS you gain a bunch of torque? Like significant amounts? 30+? That's cool then. Didn't know.

The calibration on the early OBD1 ECU's with flapper door air flow meter is terrible. MPG is down 20% over later years with newer OBD2 and MAF's.

I also have a turbo setup sitting in the wings. It will not work with the current flapper door air meter and ECU.

By eliminating the flapper door restriction and tuning for decent gas (factory tune very low oct.) I was expecting a small power bump. I expect a 20% bump in MPG based on what the newer ECU's get. Groundwork for a turbo install as well.
