Just a couple problems after MS install

So I got some 460cc RX7 injectors and popped them in. I loaded up a turbo MSQ that used 440cc injectors and didn't realize it had the coils inverted. I switched it as soon as I realized it, but I think my coil pack is hurting. I get misfires fairly often. The question I have is, can I be sure it's the coils, or do they just go out completely and never a slow painful death? It seems to have more trouble with lower AFR, which leads me also to believe it's coils.

My other question is, when I let off the gas and let the car engine brake, the AFR goes to 20 and stays there. How do I change that (I've tried richening the 15kpa line I have and tried to figure out the decel enrich), and is it bad for the car? It's less than 20kpa during the time.

I also had a problem with my EBC, but I figured that out. Turns out DIYAutotune gave me a 100kohm resistor instead of 100ohm. Shame on them :nono:, but at least I figured it out. I also put some electrical tape on my case just incase the heatsink I put on the trans grounded out.

You can damage the ignitor that way and it could still work, just not as strong causing misfires. Even when stock, a bad ignitor will cause misfires.
Nothing wrong with it going lean on decel when engine braking. It just helps slow you down. The overrun fuel cut setting is actually there to make sure it cuts fuel on decel.
That electrical tape should be replaced with a cheapo mica insulator from radioshack. The electrical tape won't transfer heat like the mica will. You might burn up the mosfet that way. They're cheap though.

it has a ram heatsink to dissipate the heat, the tape is just there so the heatsink doesn't ground to the case and stop it from working.

Thanks for the info. I was kind of worried about having no fuel on decel. Freaked me out a bit. Guess I'll be looking for a new coil pack on ebay...unless of course someone has one for cheap here on the forums.

As with ALL OEM ecu's, during those conditions fuel will cut to improve emmisions and engine braking. your MS is doing the same thing.

turn off Overrun if you really don't want it.

Turn off overrun when tuning, otherwise for those 2 seconds before overun kicks in you will be running rich.
