Just got MS running and everywhere works except my LC-1
Just got my (1993 5spd w/ a MS1 v2.2) running with all sensors (vtps, map, iat, etc.) working except my wideband reading (through my LC-1). The LC-1appears to be getting power (hot to the touch.. controller and sensor) and the signal wire is properly attached to the MS but no readings. Ive double checked all the wiring and connections and eveything appears to have good contact.
Any suggestions on things to check? |
Did you change the settings in the configurator? Check those.
|
how about going under Exhaust settings and change to wide band
|
Check to see if the LC1 is communicating with LogWorks or not.

I did change the settings to wideband under exhaust gas settings.
I tried hooking it up to Logworks and was unable to get a connection to that either. (thru the headphone style output connector to my laptop) |

I got the LC-1 displaying a proper a/f ratio with Logworks but cant get it to display on MS. I changed to my LC1 in settings.ini and changed it over to "wideband sensor" in the MS settings. Im getting a reading of 7.35 (the bottom out number which does not change at all) a/f at idle in MS when thru logworks it is 14.7 and changes accordingly.
The LC-1's both outputs are supplying proper voltage but the MS is not taking it and displaying it thru the display. |
is it setup properly in configurator?
|
Yes I activated the extra.ini.hr10 file and changed from narrowband sensor to LC1 linear 0-5v in the setting.ini file.

hmm, what color wire do you have attached to the MS? yellow or brown?
It could be the WB input circuit is messed up. But the rest of the board seemed built perfect fine. O2 comes into R1 out the to CPU. It also goes through R29 to ground, C2 is the filter on it, and D11 the flyback diode. Found on page 2: http://www.bgsoflex.com/v22/megasquirt_ShemV2.2.pdf |
I have the pink wire from the MS connected to the brown wire on the LC-1. I tested the output and its 5 volts.

my lc1-logworks wouldnt work unless my ignition was on

are you sure that it is the brown wire? I made that mistake when i hooked mine to ms and used the yellow wire and it was at 7.35 also and would not move.
|
Ive tried both signal wires. Im at a complete loss... anyone local to me (Vienna, VA) wanna come by and help me figure it out for some money? PM me please haha
|
can you make it out to centreville tomorrow ill be out swapping springs and could fiddle with it.
|
I dont really trust driving it without really knowing what my A/F are unfortunately... would seeing my laptop/settings help at all cause I could bring that by?
|
I just sent an email to diyautotune to see if I can send them my megasquirt to test its inputs. I think my input on my megasquirt is bad because I am getting voltage from the wideband to the megasquirt a/f input but I am not displaying any reading with any software settings.

Just realized that I have the old style LC1 based off my serial number and this requires a resistor inbetween the lc1 and ms' signal...adding now
didnt fix problem :( While installing the resistor I started wondering if my o2 clamp maybe the problem? |
