Just a little taste of what we have been up to here at DIYAutoTune
A first look at our MSPNP Plug & Play Standalone EMS for MKIV Toyota Supra Turbo. This will be based off our MS3-Pro EMS, but specifically tailored to prove an easy, plug-in installation experience that allows the end user to get the most performance possible out of their Supra.

The absurdly high specific output potential of the 2JZ-GTE engine pleases me. Your brazen display of disloyalty to the Mazda brand does not. [/voice of Emperor Palpatine from ROTJ] Now, design an MS3-based PnP for the '01-'05 and '06+ Miatas, including dynamic (sensitivity scaled to RPM and load) windowed knock detection, either a wideband controller based upon an OEM implementation of the Innovate LC-1, or a dedicated serial-to-CAN input capable of natively interfacing with the LC-1 and MTX-L, the ability to correctly drive the EGR valves on those vehicles, and drive-by-wire throttle control where applicable. Oh, and it also needs to mimic an OEM ECU for the purpose of responding to all OBD-II inquiries which would be encountered during a California emissions test. And have a CARB EO. I would be willing to pay up to $500 for such an ECU. :D It's great to see your guys plowing forward with more cool designs such as this. I honestly have no idea what the Supra aftermarket looks like, but I do rather fancy the car itself. |
$500 now thats big money!!

You win props for that. :bigtu: [voice of Daine Jir] Neglecting the Mazda platform is dangerous. If word of this gets out, it could generate sympathy for the Hydra in the Aftermarket. [/Voice of Vader from ANH] Finally i get to use star wars at work. I want to get one of those $1000 storm trooper consumes and and wear it to work one day. helmet and all. We wont neglect the new Miata. It will be based on the ms3, but as of right now, this is my best reply as to when it will be finished. |

Leave that to me. [/Voice of Vader from ANH] Lord Vader, the MS3 schematics are not aboard this forum, and no transmissions were made. An NSX was jettisoned during the fighting. No life forms were on board. [/voice of Nahdonnis Praji, two lines later] (Why is it that the rebels / Jedi / outer-rim inhabitants all have simple Anglo-American names, while the Imperial Officers, despite being uniformly whiter than a storm-trooper's armor, appear to be the direct ancestors to the inhabitants of present-day India?) |

Eh, it happens. there is a market for that because everyone wants to swap a supra engine into something so its worth it to have a plug and play unit.

So PNP + harness then for a Supra install into anything, similar to the GM performance Hot Rot kits (battery not included) :)

Well dont assume that we are making a plug n play kit for anything other than a stock supra in a stock supra chassis.

Sigh. way to misconstrue my words.

You're forgetting the Jedi who happen to be white guys with Asian sounding names like Obi Wan Kenobe.
It's not an entirely universal truth, but it's a pretty fair broad generalization. Even the non-humans had fairly "western" names as compared to Nahdonnis Praji.

I see Joe neg'd me for posting Jar Jar. Why all the hate? He's best character ever invented...I mean how else could you of made Episode 1 even better? Model a character after Michelle Tanner, that's how.

Eppisode 1 wasnt that great at all. Look on the bright side, We have pod racing.
|
I have film cells from episode 1 one my office wall.
I honestly think Disney should just go back and redo 1-3 before working on 7. |
So now that they are making eppisode 7,8 and 9, will they
Bring darth maul back? luke will have a wife? han solo and princess? hm.... Are supras considered like a-wings or b-wings? |
I feel like a supra would be more like a delta-7
|
keep it episode 4,5, and 6 relevant.
|
falcon? a bit old, but fast?
|
Hm... you think? but the falcon is a sleeper.
|
The falcon is a third gen El Camino with the 454, upgraded with the manifold and carbs from the LS7.

More like a Y-wing?
|
More like the Starship Enterprise.
|
Star Wars The Next Generation?
|
Supra = Corellian CR90. Its ugly, goes fast, no one cares.
|
what? that's like a mini-van.

Sorry to go off topic, but aren't all the NCs drive by wire throttle? Kinda kills the Ms3 which is a big ol shame, imo. Unless there are aftermarket 'DBW' controllers?

You're correct, and I have added DBW to my list of requirements for the $500 ECU in post #2. Certainly seems like the MS3 has sufficient hardware resources to deal with it, just a matter of implementing the proper code and drivers. Thanks. |
Yeah... I wish they weren't worried about the liability issues, I trust their code to not kill me more than any other after market ECU. And that'd be a killer way to retrofit traction control imo... not too mention anti-lag.
