you dont need a bootloader jumper, just reflash the firmware using the .bat file

Dang. FWIW I searched for nearly an hour in an attempt to find the boot jumper.

IIRC MSPNP uses 3.57SMD Board, and I can't find ANY info/pictures on it. Isn't that a board DIY designed and built?

My absolute best guess would be the jumper just to the left of the processor in this photo:

Seems logical, thats about the location of it on my MS2.2 and IIRC the 3.0 also. Good luck! :(

rofl. i went to megamanual.com, clicked 3.57 SMD Main Board, and saw the picture of the SMD with the boot jumper clearly labeled in under 5 seconds.

yes, it's the jumper to the left of the CPU, labeled: boot.

It's on the main board, to the left of the CPU, just above the +5 and GND points. It's labeled "BOOT"

Thats the only site I visited. Search google for Megasquirt 3.57, both pages and images and came up with nothing.

Hmmm. Page clearly states:
"This site contains an archive of the early versions (circa. 2003) of the hardware and software documentation for MegaSquirtŽ EFI Controllers.
It remains here primarily for reference for older board versions and code (and to prevent dead links)."
Yup...

Yup...
<-- Has MS2.2, not a 3.0 or 3.57.. So that link is all I have bookmarked.

I tried, at least. Correctly identified the boot jumper too

We finally found it at 1:30 after I posted.

Whole story!:
My little brother and a buddy came down. I took them to the drag strip. They where headed home and his car died while driving down the freeway. I go to check their car out. And when I reach the exit my car dies while driving down the freeway. I get out, and they are directly across the highway from me waving..............LOL

Well, I had hit a huge bump in the freeway and my computer cable poped off and the computer died ( has no battery) but the car still had power and died simutaniously, . So I reloaded the map no good. Reloaded firmware. Now the car is still just strating and dieing. New plugs, same thing.

Know I grab the spare fuel pump. It starts and runs. I'm heading home, the tach is bouncing, and it is spudering. And bam it runs great. I get to the exit of my brothers, It dies. I roll off the road, and as I am stopping there is another truck dieing and stopping on the side of the highway.

I guess my car is simpathetic of other cars.

I grounded the plug to the head and their was spark, grounded it again, no spark. I think it is the CPS (CAS).

I'm going to swap the igniter first from another car. And if it is the cas. i'm putting a brand new one on it.
Those things gout out without notice, and they act like a hundred different things.

Autozone $330, Orielly's $478. And there is no rebuild kit.

If you know of a rebuild kit, or a cheaper place, please let me know!
