LC1 delay
I've searched here, in the megamanual and megasquirt software but I cant find the answer, where do I go to set the WB reading delay and what's a normal delay?

Cool thanks. I just want it to be a little easier to read. But I'm a dumbass and was trying to tune VE tables with the AE on, and I think that's why the readings change a little when cruising.

Yea, I would disable the ego correction when tuning all together.
Its to fast to be meaningful, at least on the gauge. The MS has its own way of obtaining readings and not using every value sent by the LC1. |
wouldn't you want it set proportional to how far down your downpipe the sensor is from the head?

i think what he's changing is more the "refresh rate" than the delay.

While on the topic of the LC-1, why, when you program the sensor for 0-5v/10:1-20:1, does the 14:1 volt reading of 2.36 (this is from memory) not come up automatically in MT when you confiure for this WB sensor? I believe the default is close, like 2.352 or something, but why not 2.36 (again from memory?)?

Cause it has no way of knowing and not everyone set there fuel switch point to stoich.
Its also 2.5v for 14.7. |

Because what has no way of not knowing what?:confused: So should I be using 2.5v for 14.7 stoich for my LC-1 programmed for 0-5v=10:1-20:1? I've been using 2.352 which is the default that comes up in MT. I'm confused. I thought 2.36 was the value I was given in LMprogrammer for 14.7, but I searched and searched and didn't find that info anywhere, so I just stuck with the 2.352. I'm all messed up. Maybe this is why I haven't been getting anywhere with datalogging or autotune? |
If 0v=10, and 5v=20, and the curve is linear, then 2.5v=15:1.
2.35v is what is should be for 14.7:1 As for how I set my LC-1's, I leave it at the default, instant response... You can change it in the LM Programmer 'advanced' screen but I've never had need. And BTW-- I've got a Motec PLM wideband in my dyno that I'm likely removing soon... an LC-1 is both more accurate and quicker to respond. To be fair my PLM has an older firmware on it, but they want to charge me $65 to upgrade, and I'm not sure it will fix it so I haven't bothered yet. I'm more likely to stick what I know to work on it, and with both the PLM and an LC-1 on the same car at the same time, I've seen the LC-1 pickup a misfire showing the lean spike that should be there while the PLM missed it, and the PLM reads consistently leaner by .5 to .75 AFR causing me to tune rich if I trust it as evidenced by the fuel coming from the exhaust pipe when I've tried putting my trust in the PLM. I'm tuning purely by LC-1/LM-1 right now.... |
