looking for a base map and tips
 

i'm going to be doing my install in a couple weeks and would love to get a place to start. i currently have my stock '93 running on MS with a pretty good map, but i'll be installing a greddy mani/turbo based kit with striped IC and some 440CC injectors.

an tips on the best way to get up and running once i get the install finished, and/or a good base to start with, would be super appreciated, since i'm a little intimidated with the prospect of starting from scratch.

i'll be boning up on the megamanual again this week, hopefully digesting a lot more of it this time around. :-)

Set the req_fuel for the 440's (MegaView can calculate this for you under "Basic Settings > Engine Constants"), then scale your Cranking Pulse Widths (under "Crank/Warmup > Cranking Settings), and your Accel enrichments (under "Basic Settings > Accel / Deccl"). The MegaSquirt PNP manual describes the process pretty fully - by following those directions to modify the base map, my car started first time, and ran pretty well right off the bat. Basics are: subtract 1ms from the base cranking and accel settings, scale the resulting value by the base injector size vs your 440's (somewhere around 55 - 60% - base '93 injectors are somewhere between 205 and 230, depending on fuel pressure they're tested at), then add back the 1ms. Again, read the manual: it's pretty clear about the process - if you're not running the MSPNP, but your MS is running fairly well, these suggestions from the manual SHOULD still work.

Yep just take your time and you will be surprised how easily it all falls together.

Install the injectors and get it running on those before you do the turbo install. That's what I did, and it was nice to not have to worry about them when I did that turbo install.
