low impedance injectors
who's running them and did you have to do anytihng non-standard to get them to work? I'm shipping a set of 440cc supra black tops out to be cleaned this week, and will be installing them when i do my turbo install.
my plan is to beef up the MS grounding according to Jerry's recommendations, by running several 18-20ga wires from the MS ground pins to the location that the stock ECU grounds on the block. I'll leave the stock ECU grounding alone (since i'm using a kingofleet side-by-side setup for MS) and possibly may try to insulate the MS case from the body, as i had heard some things about DSM folks having issues with MS due to the MS case grounding out by being bolted to the body of the car. any other suggestions? |
btw, i know this has been covered somewhat in other posts, but i'm hoping to get a easily searchable post for future people to find for info on the subject, as well as post my results and whatnot.
from what i've found, it looks like running a proper set of ground wires from all of MS's ground pins should take care of it, as the issue others have experienced is likely due to insufficient grounding (low-z injectors will pull a significant amount more current through than the stock high-z injectors, and the stock wiring may not be sufficient). |

I have low impedence injectors and as of what I have read, I need a DSM "injector resistor box". At least that is how you had to do it on a Neon.

What Devin Mac is after though is directly running the Low-z injectors via the MS's PWM control of them, without a resistor pack. |
I'm looking to do the same, actually with DSM 450 injectors. Let me know what you find devin, if I need to run ground wires I will.
