MAF Removal
I quite fancy dumping my MAF now that my car has run fine for the past few weeks :D
Currently the MS is controlling fuel only, and it has O2 input TPS input. I intend to go to Spark control soon. I've also hooked up the fuel wire from the stock ECU to the MS. Can I just uplug it? or does it indirectly control other components? |

If you use another AIT than stock you should be able to unplug it...

I think the MAF is used to for load in the OEM spark table.
You should get spark going before removing it. |
is that why my topend power has gone?
doh, put it back tomorrow then! I did briefly try to hook up the spark control, but whilst it started it ran really poorly, like it was on 2 or 3 cylinders. I've got my dwell set at 2.2ms and discharge at 0.5. I've a feeling it's running poorly cos the spark us being blown out? but i'm scared to crank up the dwell as I've got the weak coils and need the car as a daily driver! any ideas or tips? |
