Megasquirt install
I am doing all my research to turbo my 00' miata. It would be great if someone could give me a no bs answer on how hard it is to install and tune the megasquirt system. thankyou

I did it on my '99.
You have to be willing to do your own wiring as no PNP option is available for the '99 yet. You'll have to get under your dash, pull the plugs to the stock ECU. Splice MS into the stock harness unless you can rig up some sort of PnP harness for it. Then run a vacuum line into the car for the MAP sensor. Then if you're going turbo you'll want to use a GM IAT sensor so you'll have to wire that in. You'll have to wire in a wideband O2 sensor. The rest just comes with going turbo and running a standalone. That's about it. |
Okay, from an idiot, to someone probably smarter... It took me... all of maybe 20 mins AFTER i routed the damn MAP hose. ( i have trouble getting it in the hole is all). It was simply once installed, setting the timing was extremely easy. And so is running a WBo2 using MS.

How necessary is having an IAT?
