MegaSquirting on your iPhone

Note it's just MS1Extra. MS2Extra is unsupported but should work.

Free download from the Appstore, search for MobiSquirt.

Only catch is you need a serial>WiFi adaptor for comms, or use a laptop as a bridge, but that's only really useful as a proof of concept IMO.

Have fun.

Does anyone know if tunerstudio will work on ipad???

kotomile 10-29-2011 12:48 PM

Will it work with HR10G code? Can't seem to find that on their site.

240_to_miata 10-29-2011 01:08 PM

No chance.

Phil Tobin (who wrote TS), is looking to port it to android.

Thats MSExtra so yes it will.

This is absolutely epic. Logging with GPS has MASSIVE potential, I for one would be more than happy to pay for those kind of features, alongside tuning functions this could go far.

Exciting times to be an MS user for sure.

hustler 10-29-2011 06:40 PM

In for Android.

Joe Perez 10-29-2011 09:21 PM

#include <autotune> ?

GPS triggered table switching... (street tables, track tables, out of corner tables, on straight tables, ...)

I'm a bit shocked that iPhone got this first and not open-source Android.

Is Phil doing it over bluetooth?

That is a very interesting idea. I like it. GPS sees you at a particular track and tune changes to the optimal settings for that track.

I don't know how many of my posts you read, but I'm not exactly the kind of guy anyone wants to use for beta testing. I'm more of a "retard" when it comes to development.

Fuck that. Just because the gps coordinates are the same, doesn't mean there's one good tune that never needs to change.

I already hate/have turned off a lot of the other location services on my phone.

I get 93-octane in Texas, 91-octane in Oklahoma.

kotomile 10-30-2011 05:50 PM

You got rid of your iJesus too soon, Trey.

More emphasis on iHas but you can not has.:rofl::rofl:

Well, that settles it. Doesn't look like Mobisquirt has autotune, so I won't be buying my first iThing.

I hadn't heard that TunerStudioDroid was in beta (kind of insulted I wasn't invited to participate) but I'll wait for that release and then buy a Droid tablet.

Ben 10-31-2011 09:40 AM

It's not exactly TunerStudio Joe, but it is a creation of the same author. Once Phil gets a few things sorted to make running it more practical, it will be a killer app.

So is it communicating over bluetooth or usb?

Ben 10-31-2011 10:14 AM

That's because it's infrared, not WiFi or bluetooth. Will not come close to working.

bogaut 11-03-2011 11:56 PM

hurr durr didnt even notice

It looks like a chinese knock-off to me. Maybe it's great, but it looks like 100 other cheap communications devices I've worked with that work just well enough to get you started and then have some quirks ranging from annoying to flat-out crippling. At over $100 shipped that's not a bet I would take, especially because it really isn't that much cheaper than the proven Roving Networks module.

This software is just getting started, and you don't want to throw a completely untested piece of hardware at it to save the price of a Big Mac or two.

Rushin 11-07-2011 07:30 PM

wow, i thought this day will never come. Will this work with MSPnP eventually?

94mx5red 11-07-2011 07:32 PM

Anyone get this working yet?
