Default MPG gauge in MT

I thought it may serve to provide some interesting data feedback... I just can't find any info on setting it up.

Anyone done this?

I'm more interested in hooking up the VSS so the logs can be used for calculating torque/HP curves.

datalog hp curves are ok for run-to-run tuning but pretty worthless for anything else.

I wonder if i can make an equation in MLV to calculate instant MPG on the hydra.

there's an "instant mpg" gauge in MLV, only problem is it only lets you enter 1 gear ratio so i guess it would only make sense on the highway unless you knew what gear you were in

The VSS input was experimental and the documentation vanished when they moved from Sourceforge to MSExtra. But I saved a copy of the schematic - here it is. I haven't tested it myself.

it's in mlv not in megatune so you'll only be able to see it through logs, it's in optional fields i think, you need to enter the parameters, i played with it quickly seems accurate enough based on my mileage calculations at the pump

sadly the hydra uses weird variable names so I have to go in and rebuild all the equations with the different names... i'll have to check out the EQ if it's editable.
