Mine is velcro'd vertically to the side of my stock ECU. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow.

Atlanta93LE 04-23-2007 10:32 PM

Zip ties FTW.

Arkmage 04-23-2007 10:54 PM

Mine is tucked behind the passengers seat next to my stocker... not really strapped in at all just wedged behind the seat.

miatamania 04-23-2007 11:37 PM

lmao...

I love you guys.

jayc72 04-23-2007 11:42 PM

I used to have my EMB bolted to the back of the glove box. Stealth FTW.

Some crack head is going to steal you MS thinking it's a CD changer or something.

Al Hounos 04-23-2007 11:53 PM

mines screwed down inside the glovebox. still enough room for pen and insurance papers.

arga 04-24-2007 01:46 AM

Zip tied vertically against the V shaped dash support above the throttle. I added a small screw to the support to keep the case from sliding down.

Reverant 04-24-2007 03:21 AM

I made a custom bracket and the whole thing bolts down securely next to the stock ECU under the passenger's footrest:

Jim,

When you gonna come round to my garage and tidy up mu wires like that? :)

shuiend 04-24-2007 10:28 AM

I will get up a pick of how I have mine mounted later this afternoon. It is nicely hidden were my passenger airbag is supposed to be.

Braineack 04-24-2007 10:31 AM

I'd rock it next to the ECU, but since I have a nice big ABS ECU there, there aint no room....I was thinking of shoving it up behind the glovebox....plenty of room, but this way I have easy access to the serial port.

You sure that's an ABS computer? Mine have the abs computer under the dash.

You could bracket the MS to behind the glovebox and leave the serial cable plugged in and hanging down, but tucked in there so it's not dangling. Then you reach in and pull it down when you need to, and tuck it back up when ya don't.

Braineack 04-24-2007 10:50 AM

it says Nippon ABS right on it, about the same size as the MS.

I was thinking about something like that....since it's only zipped in right now, i'll have a chance to dick around with it later.

but since my battery is dead and my stub is still leaking......

Ben 04-24-2007 11:17 AM

uh yeah, sorry I read ABS and somehow thought "airbags" instead of anti lock.
I've never had a 1.6 w abs so I was talkin outta my ass.

ditto

y8s 04-24-2007 12:46 PM

is there space behind the glove box? That's where the NB's got room.

grippgoat 04-24-2007 02:02 PM

I'm planning to put mine where my stock ECU goes with a custom bracket. Then the stock ECU is going on a shelf in the garage. I should know how it works out in a couple weeks.

Works out nice because I got the black case option... it's not very noticeable at all unless the car is running and the LEDs are blink'n away.
