Default MegaSquirt Idle - - Throttle body inlet hose

Can I remove this hose, and plug the throttle body inlet or put a filter on there?

I would like to use an intake set up that does not have accommodations for that hose.

No pic/diagram... did you mean to post one?
If you're talking about the 1/4" or so hose that runs up to the 6 o'clock position in front of the throttle body, I'm pretty sure it's needed for the IAC.

I ended up putting an adapter in my elbow there to keep it.
You should be able to do the same.

Check out Alec Moody's website for details?

Think it's more like 1/2", but yeah it's for the IAC, it won't idle without it. You can leave it with a filter, I've done that before with good results.

plugging the inlet to your idle valve sounds smart.

As anyone noticed better idle with the filter vs plumbing IACV to the intercooler cold side. I'd imagine it wouldn't matter.

The only difference with putting a filter on is that it will become a slight boost leak. Doesn't matter at all for a normally aspirated car.

You could install a one-way check valve to prevent boost loss in the hose.

I had this same problem im boosted so i would lose boost and consequently spool the pipe is actually 3/4 inch i bought a 3/4 inch slip on aluminum bung and used alumaweld (harbor frieght) to braze it on to the cold side intercooler piping with a map gas torch works great idle is very stable spool improved
